Explore rich color, bold brushstrokes, and the joy of painting with gouache! Join me for a welcoming, hands-on workshop designed to help you get comfortable with this versatile medium. Start with playful exercises that take the pressure off getting everything “just right.” Using a large brush and a limited palette, you’ll experiment with mixing colors, layering paint, and arranging simple shapes. I’ll guide you through working with warm and cool colors, creating depth with light and dark, and making adjustments as you paint. Then, bring those skills together in a small landscape painting inspired by a reference image. You’ll learn to simplify a scene and capture its character with expressive marks and confident color. Leave with your own painting, a foundation in gouache, and fresh inspiration to keep creating. No prior painting experience is needed—just bring your curiosity!
